John Martinson began servicing pianos in the early 80s after attending the Chautauqua School for Piano Technicians under the direction of Arthur Briggs. His work has included service to schools, churches, concert performers, jazz pianists, and the spinets and consoles that can be found in any musician’s home.
John moved to the Kansas City area in the late 90s to pursue a career in the high tech corporate world. After fifteen years with companies including Sprint, Black & Veatch, Cerner, and the Federal Government, he has returned to piano service full time. He enjoys meeting those who share the love of music and the instruments that make it all possible. Contact John here.
Services include tuning, maintenance, regulation, voicing, repair, and the rebuilding of spinets, consoles, and grands.
John spends his spare time in the kitchen, often baking bread and pizza! He also enjoys photography, woodworking, and just about anything technical. He frequently travels – with piano tools – back east to visit family and friends.
